“Times Square”

Times Square is eerily silent. Though the lights still glimmer, the stores are all shuttered, and the streets barren. It's as though the very heart of the city has been hollowed out, leaving behind only a ghostly shell. This segment captures the haunting emptiness of The City That Never Sleeps, where even the people seem to have vanished into thin air. Join us as we explore the desolate landscape of a world turned upside down.

 Episode 3

“The Store”

In a world brought to its knees by Covid-19, goods became scarcer than the air we breathe. With the very notion of human contact now a source of terror, people turned to hoarding, desperate to cling to whatever scraps of normality they could find. Toilet paper, sanitizer, masks - these were the new currency. As the world was plunged into chaos, join us as we bear witness and explore the lengths people went to in order to protect their own.

 Episode 4

“Homelessness”

Covid forced those with homes to be confined within four walls. But what about the homeless? They were left to fend for themselves, on the streets without protection. Join us as we delve into the stories of those who were forced to live through the pandemic with nothing but the pavement beneath their feet. Through a series of interviews, we uncover the harsh reality faced by those most vulnerable in society.

 Episode 5

“420 - Washington Square Park”

The air was thick on 4/20/22, charged with a potent blend of excitement, music, Pineapple Express, and OG Kush. Washington Square Park was nothing short of a frenzy. It was a scene straight out of a modern Woodstock, the masses gathering, eager to partake in history....and the high. Our cameras captured the raw energy, hope, and optimism on the day recreational marijuana was legalized in the Big Apple.

 Episode 6

“BLM - Manhattan”

Nights were alive with dangerous energy, crackling with tension that only a powder keg of emotions can bring. It was a time of riots, of anger, of art born from the depths inside. In the aftermath of George Floyd's murder, the city was consumed by a maelstrom of people taking to the streets. Our cameras captured every raw moment, the destruction and the creation, as the city became a canvas for the raw and unbridled actions of its people.

 Episode 7

“Mamdani”

The rhetoric was electric, charged with promises of revolution wrapped in the language of justice. In community halls and on crowded corners, the word “socialism” echoed with the confidence of a generation restless for change. But beneath the applause and hashtags, a deeper question stirred in the heart of the city that built Wall Street and the skyline itself: what happens when ideology collides with American identity?

Our cameras move through Queens and Manhattan, capturing the speeches, the cheers, the critics, and the quiet conversations in bodegas and barbershops. For some, Mamdani represents progress and fairness; for others, a dangerous drift toward ideas rooted far from the nation’s founding principles. The debate is not just political — it is cultural, historical, and deeply personal.

In this segment, BrokenHearted.NYC explores the tension between revolutionary rhetoric and the enduring belief in free enterprise, individual liberty, and the American Dream. Because in a city built on ambition and ownership, one question hangs in the air heavier than the slogans: is communism compatible with America — or is it fundamentally at odds with the values that made New York what it is?

With your merch purchase of Mamdani, your contribution will help make this episode reality: Mamdani.
